Cleavers was first added to the Laura Ashley archive in the 1970s: a silhouette of trailing leaves and daisy shapes. On the rug it becomes a bas-relief, hand-carved into a natural ivory ground in loop and cut pile.
Tone on tone and softly textured, it gives a calm room subtle pattern without colour.
