An exotic bird with a long trailing tail sits among cranberry peonies and leafy branches on an ivory ground — Summer Palace, the chinoiserie print that Laura Ashley first launched in 1988 from an antique Edwardian chintz in their archive.

The Cranberry/Grape colours are rich and romantic, and the loop and cut pile gives the flowers depth.
