Marimekko describe Kalasääski (osprey) as a vivid freehand pattern of vertical and diagonal stripes by Maija Isola. Here the hand-drawn lines are taupe and stone on a warm pale ground, drifting and changing direction down the length of the rug.

Greige turns the design into a textured neutral — pattern you notice without colour you have to plan around.
