Broad black waves roll across the rug in four rows, set against sand and taupe — Maija Isola's Lokki (seagull), inspired, Marimekko say, by the wavy shadows a sunlit curtain threw across a window.

The black colourway is the most graphic version of the design and makes a strong anchor under a sofa or dining table.
