Compton was one of the last designs to come out of Morris & Co. during William Morris's lifetime, and it shows the house at its most confident — a trellis of flowering stems and broad leaves, layered so densely that the structure only becomes clear when you stand back from it.
Hand-tufted in India with a 12 mm cut pile, in a blend of 70% PET and 30% pure new wool. The synthetic content makes it harder-wearing than the pure wool designs in the range, which is worth knowing if the rug is going somewhere busy.
