Hand-knotted in Nepal from 100% Tibetan wool. Tibetan wool is prized for rug-making because the high-altitude fleece carries more lanolin, which is what gives a hand-knotted rug its resilience and its slight sheen as it ages. At 4 mm the pile is low enough to hold fine detail and to sit under a door.
