Morris & Co Honeysuckle & Tulip Teal 130407

Honeysuckle & Tulip is one of the Morris designs that best shows the house's habit of layering — honeysuckle trails winding through tulip heads and broad foliage, with no clear ground left anywhere. It was drawn for printed textiles and transfers unusually well to a rug, because the density hides wear.

The Teal colourway is the cooler of the two, carrying the pattern in blue-greens with paler flowerheads lifting out of it.
