NW-146 works in the opposite direction to most of the New Wave range: stylised fans, berry sprigs and trailing foliage in cream, olive and coral, drawn across a deep navy ground. Closer to a botanical study than a geometric.
It belongs to Momeni's New Wave collection, which takes its cues from the impressionist and expressionist painters of the American modern movement. Here that shows in the loose, painterly edges of the foliage rather than in hard geometry.
