The jackfruit has an unlikely history — it was among the cargo famously linked to the Mutiny on the Bounty in 1789. Sanderson set the stylised fruit against a contrasting dark ground, which is what gives this rug its graphic punch.
The Turmeric and Indigo colourway is the bolder of the two: hot yellow fruit against deep blue, with very little in between.
Hand-tufted with a cut and loop pile in pure new wool and viscose. The two pile heights let the fruit stand away from the ground, so the design has physical depth as well as colour contrast.
